Six Phases

From idea to activation

  1. Creative DiscoveryDefine the idea, the intended audience, the creative format, the community need or opportunity, the desired result, your current resources, and the primary obstacle.
  2. Project DefinitionBuild a short project brief: name, creator or team, purpose, audience, deliverable, location or platform, resources needed, budget considerations, target milestone, accessibility considerations, permissions or licenses needed, and your primary next step.
  3. Creative ReadinessPortfolio selection, project description, short biography, creator statement, event concept, basic budget, timeline, promotional copy, audience plan, collaboration expectations, content ownership, permission and release needs, and safety and venue requirements.
  4. ConnectionEducational workshops, creator introductions, community conversations, portfolio showcases, event participation, collaboration sessions, vendor education, digital promotion education, and Austin-area resource awareness. Introductions are never presented as endorsements.
  5. ActivationA showcase, workshop, community event, digital campaign, portfolio review, collaborative project, educational presentation, pop-up experience, or public art and storytelling concept — subject to required approvals.
  6. Reflection and GrowthWhat was completed, what reached the intended audience, what resources were used, what challenges occurred, what feedback came back, what should change next time, and what the next creative milestone should be.
Completion Standard

A core project journey is complete when you have:

  • Defined the project
  • Created a project brief
  • Identified resource and permission needs
  • Completed one meaningful deliverable or readiness milestone
  • Participated in a reflection
  • Recorded a continuation plan

Before any activation, responsible owners confirm location approval, participant permissions, content rights, insurance requirements, safety considerations, accessibility, vendor requirements, payment terms, photography or recording notices, cancellation procedures, and emergency contacts.

Creative work runs on financial stability

Most creators we meet are balancing a project against rent. The other two pathways are open to you at the same time.
